The town of Bar Harbor, Maine is a New England delight. The beauty of the town and the adjacent Acadia National Park is filled with rocky coastlines, sandy beaches, and mountains topped with lush evergreen trees. Mount Cadillac is the highest peak on the east coast and is perfect for hiking and spectacular views. For other recreational opportunities, the town and park offer bird watching, boating, horseback riding, rock climbing and more. For beach lovers, Jordan Pond and Sandy beach park are perfect places for a relaxing day in the sun.

Discover the marine wonders of the Florida Barrier Reef

The state of Florida has the only living barrier reef in the continental United States. This amazing reef stretches from the Florida Keys to the Keys to the Marquise and is the third largest coral reef system in the world. Besides the dunes, guests can also ride horses, sandboard or take a dip in the swimming hole at Medano stream. The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no outside capacity limit and no reservations are required for a visit.

Relax in the mist at Multnomah Falls

This little slice of heaven is located just outside of Portland, Oregon. This beautiful place is located inside Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Visitors can hike the area to Benson Gateway and approach the wonderful tumultuous water. Besides hiking, visitors can also picnic, go horseback riding, tubing, swimming, windsurfing, fishing and more. The best time to visit Multnomah Falls is early in the morning and, in the rain, to avoid the usual crowds. Marvel at the sea caves of Kauai

The Hawaiian Islands have many beautiful places, however, the locations here are unique. On the northwest side of Kauai is the Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park. This 15 mile stretch of road has waterfalls, awe-inspiring sea caves, and cliffs reaching 4000 feet above sea level. Throughout this trip you can see a bit of Hawaii’s wildlife, including naive birds such as Laysan Albatross, sea turtles and even Hawaiian monk seals. Reservations are required for hiking The Kalalau trail or for camping permits and can be done up to 30 days in advance.

This territory of the Pacific of the United States conceals a multitude of natural wonders. American Samoa is made up of five islands and two atolls, which Americans can access without a passport. All you have to do is fly to the capital of Pago Pago and experience these wonders. There is spectacular snorkeling in Fagatele Bay at the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa. Other water activities available here are diving, fishing and surfing. You can take a boat ride to visit Aunu’u Island and explore the marine sanctuary of this volcanic island.
