How Victoria Villarroel Keeps Her Skin So Glowing All The Time – Interview

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Victoria Villarroel knew the importance of sun protection from an early age. You can thank her mother, who struggled with sun damage due to her infrequent application of sunscreen, for that. As a child, Villarroel and his younger sister, Sofia, lived near the beach. “It’s in all my memories”, says Villarroel Seduce. Her mother’s background coupled with her penchant for sand and sun led her to take a proactive approach to FPS.

Villarroel is an influencer and co-owner of a swimwear line she owns with her sister, Gonza Shop, named after their grandfather, Gonzalo. As a sophomore in high school, Villarroel moved to the Caribbean, leaving Venezuela to spend a year in the neighboring twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. “That’s where I learned English and everything,” she recalls. “I had the thickest [Trinbagonian] accent.” After a brief stint in the islands, her family moved to Texas, where she finished high school. All three locations had plenty of sunshine to enjoy, which naturally meant Villaorrel had to maintain their sunscreen game. EltaMD’s UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 was by his side through it all. “My dermatologist introduced me to this seven years ago and I’ve been using it ever since,” she says. She applies the formula to her hands, neck and face every morning.

Growing up, Villarroel frequently received facials with her mother and sister and continued this self-care practice in Los Angeles where she currently resides. Between appointments, she uses a range of products to maintain a clear, glowing complexion, starting with a gentle face wash. “Youth To The People Superfood Kale Cleanser is delicious and makes my skin really, really clean after I wash my face,” she says. She follows up with the brand Deep moisturizing cream both in the morning and in the evening.

When she feels a little more, Villarroel applies Feelist Radiant Face Oil with a gua sha along the face and neck. “[Using a gua sha] relaxes me. It allows me to focus,” she says, swearing that her face appears more contoured and sculpted after regular use. Another product with which Villarroel has seen results is the Biological Research Lotion P50, a favorite of skincare aficionados. “There was a time in life when I was in a slump, so I tried this brand recommended by my friends,” she recalls. She doesn’t use the chemical exfoliator more than twice a week, noting that her combination skin is now “baby soft”. When a breakout occurs, Starface Hydro-Stars are his go-to.

Speaking of sweet babies, there’s nothing Villarroel hates more than dry, cracked skin. She hydrates herself from head to toe, starting with her lips: she generally reaches out Laneige Lip Glowy Balm for her pout. “It’s super hydrating – I can’t stand a chapped lip,” she says. Two other lip moisturizers she loves? the Kylie Skin Watermelon Lip Oil and the Nivea Blackberry Lip Care that make your lips “cute and tinted,” she says.

In terms of body products, Villarroel shares its cocktail of products for radiant skin: “If you mix Bio-Oil Care Oil with Epicuren Discovery Kukui Coconut After Bath Body Moisturizer, [your skin] will be so sweet,” she said. She likes to apply this combo after the shower, letting it soak in before getting ready. Although the mixture has a thick consistency, Villarroel says it absorbs fairly quickly. Another weapon in her arsenal for flawless skin? H2O, transported in a Takeya Actives Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle. “I really try to stay hydrated every day. I’m constantly filling that bottle with water and adding chlorophyll drops to it.” The ship is also a favorite among his group of friends. “We carry that water bottle with us like life or death,” she jokes.

“I don’t wear a lot of makeup,” says Villarroel, but one makeup tool she can never leave the house without is an eyelash curler. “It’s a game-changer,” she says. When she feels like wearing makeup, Villarroel opts for a natural look by using a Seduce Winner of Best of Beauty, Rare Beauty Vulnerable Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blushand the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Luminous Wandwhich is all the rage on TikTok.
