A weekly market featuring local businesses will take place every Thursday starting next week.
Starting Thursday, February 3, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., visitors to Southport Market can enjoy a day of shopping, eating, drinking and relaxing.
Held weekly in the new Extravaganza space, the Southport Market craft market will be an opportunity for local traders and designers to showcase their wares. Booths will include local crafts, personalized products, candles, beauty products, jewelry, accessories, housewares, stationery and more.

Cllr Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council Labor Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills, said: “The new market event, held every Thursday in our Extravaganza area, gives traders a fantastic opportunity to showcase their wares. each week and visitors to support local businesses.
“And in addition to buying that unusual item or gift, people can also enjoy an international range of food and drink on offer at the permanent market outlets.”
The first event will take place on Thursday, February 3. Visitors attending the event were invited to enter the market through the Market Street entrance.
Cllr Atkinson added: “Since the opening of the £1.4m refurbishment and repurposing of the former Southport Market building was completed in July 2021, the new Southport Market has welcomed and continues to welcome guests locally, regionally and nationally, and the space has gone from strength to strength.”
