Meet Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun, Hong Jin-kyung, and Hanhae

Bachelor’s Hell, the new South Korean reality series from Netflix, is one of this year’s top hits. And while viewers are hooked on the drama between the contestants — and Song Ji-a’s (quadrilateral?) love triangle in particular — they’re also hooked. showing love for the four hosts of the series.

The hosts in question – Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun, Hong Jin-kyung and Hanhae – watch the show with the audience, providing both comedic and insightful commentary as the contestants try to find love (or at least , get another date night in a luxury suite).

The spotlight is definitely on the contestants – but overseas fans may not realize the hosts are touting their own successful careers, both on and off screen. From running a kimchi-making business to directing professional stage productions, the panel is brimming with multi-talents.

Below is a brief overview of each Bachelor’s Hell host and their life off the show.

Lee Da-hee

The 36-year-old model, actress and influencer is no stranger to animation. She has already played the role in a few other Korean reality TV and talk shows, including Weekly entertainment, Queenand Road to the Kingdom. She is also well known for her lead role as Cha Hyeon in the scripted TV series Search: WWW (now streaming on Netflix), as well as for parts in beauty inside and, more recently, LUCA: the beginning.

Since January 2022, she boasts nearly two million Instagram followersand has modeled for several luxury brands, of which Burberry and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Cho Kyu-hyun

Born in Seoul, Cho Kyu-hyun is a singer, actor and television host, but he is best known for his singing career. The 33-year-old first gained popularity as a teenager in 2006 when he joined the K-pop boy group Super Junior, a group he is still a part of. He has since released a some of his own solo albumsnewest of 2017 A voice. He is also famous for his career as a musical actor; his stage credits include Korean and original versions of Catch Me If You Can, Sing in the rain, moon kissing the sunand The man who Laughs (watch an excerpt from his lead role here)among others.

Fun fact: he is one of the first Korean artists appear on postage stamps in China.

Hong Jin-kyung

The 44-year-old comedian, model and YouTuber started out as an entrepreneur. Hong Jin-kyung is CEO of The Kimchi, a kimchi business she started in 2004. She was inspired to start her business after spending a year making kimchi for her single friends who lived alone, using her mother’s family recipe. When she’s not hustling in the kitchen, the Seoul native is busy hosting and starring in several Korean TV programs, including The Glorious Devout Life of Hong Jin-kyung, The master of loveand need wife. She is also an animator the upcoming series school of capitalism.

With over a million subscribers, Hong is also a successful YouTuber. She posts several times a week, uploading everything from comedic sketches to videos of likeable quiz contest.

Jung Han-hae

The Busan native is an influencer, rapper and former member of hip-hop boy group Phantom. Since the group split in 2017, he has also released a few EPs as a solo artist, most recently About time in 2019. On screen, Hanhae has been seen in other South Korean reality shows, such as show me the money, My teenager and DoReMi Market. The 31-year-old also posts regularly on his Youtube channel.
